LAFE AD 43 photo essay on Legio VI site - FlaviusCrispus - 05-24-2006

Avete, comilitones et amici!

Just a quick note to let you know that an extensive photo page for the Lafe AD 43 in Arkansas event last March has at last been set up on the Legio VI Victrix (CA) website. The more than 150 images form a kind of photo essay of the this "full immersion" event. Lots of great people and equipment photos, including shots of the new Deepeeka leather command and contuburnium tents and the amazing Roman fort replica built by Legio II Augusta in the wilds of central Arkansas. Here's the link:

Ave Crispus,

What a superb set of pictures.

Does anyone know how many Roman re-enactors there are world-wide?

Are they organised nationally into legions?

Is there uniformity in their choice and use of equipment?
