Re: Show here your Greek warrior impression - Hoplitesmores - 06-21-2007

The civilians dressing up however are reenactors of 1821 but they havent connected it with the "hobby".They just see it as part of celebrations even if they say reenactment of messologi exodus for example. We have said and say all the time in the media that we are not a religious group and we are like the 1821 civilian reenactors .........

Re: Show here your Greek warrior impression - Giannis K. Hoplite - 06-21-2007

Giannis the coloyr of my chlamys is "lit de vin" or "wine dregs" or more Greek "OINOCHROYN".
It is 100% fine wool and I am working to finf evidence that winedregs were used for colouring.

Kind regards

Quote:Is this way how Paul Allen got the injury on his foot?... are thse real metal spear heads landing near Hoplite's foot? Confusedhock:

Yes, Gioi, that is the moment before the spear struck my foot - amazing that someone captured it! Pity they couldn't capture the image of the blood running between my toes for our colleagues!

Quote: If so:... You are a mad people! :o

I had thought this was made plain some time ago...

Let's ALL go at the same time and make an International Festival of it.
maybe if we approach the authorities from the outside, they won't be so scared we're all followers of the Olympian religion.
