Re: Show here your Greek warrior impression - Virilis - 08-02-2006

Kurt, do you know if this kopis is made by Del Tin or Museum Replicas?
It looks great and I like this "greekish" style kopis more than the deepeeka horsehead "iberish" falcata.

Funny that you know the guys. The Minervi are our friends. This was a combined camp of the Roman First Legion, Minervi, and our group called the Hetairoi.
So we covered a period over 800 years and it was a lot of fun :-) )

I'll have to ask my friend, we'll have a meeting in 3 weeks or so.

Yes, we know the Minervii since last year, and they joined us at the tower in May and last week at Archeon!
I heard one of the Hetairoi slipped down the bank and broke his leg? :?

It looks great. Do you know if he bought it or made it himself?

I think he bought it and customized the sheath. He is really good in these things. Here is a larger pic of it.
Anyway, our group is in the beginning and we have a lot to do, to improve our appearence...but we work on it Big Grin

Kallimache thank you so much.

I shamelessly attempt to pose as the Athena statue in Parthenon... I soon realized that I should have pushed the helmet up my forehead.

ITONIA? What does this mean?

Oh, and thanks for your kind words. Smile

Re: Show here your Greek warrior impression - hoplite14gr - 08-03-2006

ITONIA ATHINA :
1) Athena of Itone mountain of Thessaly.
2) Bold marching Athena of the Beotians.
Used as battle cry by them too.

Kind regards
