Splendit Kurt.
I liked you Hylleis pattern on your shield.

Best interpretation of "Hera Areia" that the argives revered as a war goddess!

Your Thracian seems to have upgraded his equipment nicely.
Did he loot a Persian treasure wagon?

Good reason for not upseting a Thracian spouse

Kind regards

Hey! Do you think it is wise to allow a woman to handle that lethal looking falx type weapon? Especially considering how repressed the Ancient Greek women were supposed to be? She might take revenge!!

Re: Show here your Greek warrior impression - hoplite14gr - 08-01-2007

First of all "oppressed ancient Greek women" is a wrong stereotype.
Life in other city states was different than in Athens!

Here is a reconstruction of the Pelopenesian League Marines in the 4th century B.C. Though the evidence for backing it up is slim yo ucan at least enjoy Themistokles effort.

It was my fellow greek who i believe did not take my joke well!
I am aware of all the stereotypes thrown at Greece, old and new! I just prefer to laugh at them than take them too seriously!
