Name our ferret - Praefectusclassis - 08-13-2006

Okay, despite the stories of luny Brits, we have pretty much decided to get a ferret. After all, they're great for keeping rodents out of the camp.
It will be a male, probably the standard tan with mask.
But we're not sure what to name it yet, so suggestions are welcome.
IF we select your suggestion, you will get a (booby)prize! Big Grin

When it's behaving and all cute and cuddly; Marcus Arelius.

When it's hanging from your finger with a bite that industrial hydraulics can't open; Caligula.

My dog (large german sheppard/bordercollie mix) is named Caligula, but hes too friendly so we call him Calle instead.

No, you silly Brit. Despite your national traditions, we are NOT stuffing the ferret anywhere.

Glad I didn't say "Screw the ferret." You mainland Europeans take things far too literally Confusedhock:

Re: Name our ferret - Dan Diffendale - 08-13-2006

If I recall correctly, the Latin term felis that we translate as "cat" began life meaning "ferret."

I would suggest Tarquin, or maybe Igni Ferretque.
