Ciao Jeff,
I learned to speak Englsh and Italian together as a child, but I did not know how to read and write Italian until college, because I was born in the US, and in those days, Italian was not offered in school, so we studied French, which is also a beautiful language. My husband Dino (born and educated in Italy) helps me with grammar. Thanks for the corrections : Big Grin .

Ciao,

May I switch on "pedant mode"? Big Grin

Forse suona meglio dire: "farò meglio che posso".
Maybe it sounds better: "farò meglio che posso".

Scusa Jeff, visto il tuo nome, non ho ancora capito se sei italiano, se invece sei anglofono, di tanto in tanto, potresti correggere i miei (sicuramente) numerosi errori d'inglese...

Optime ualete

FYI: RAT v3 will probably have a babelfish-like translation feature built in.

Re: Translation-Italian to English/English to Italian - Iulia Cassia Vegetia - 10-23-2006

That would be really cool Jasper. But I find that translators are only helpful if you already have a working knowledge of the language that you wish to translate into. Otherwise, some of the sentences that come out are rather funny.
