Room booked at the Hotel Courage. I guess I'm coming now.

It turns out that my wife will want to come (along with the baby) for the weekend as well and we will probably stick around for a couple of days afterwards. She will not be attending the conference itself but will need accommodation.

I'm coming too, along with about 14 other people from my group. We will arrive friday evening and be ready for action saturday morning. In what state we'll be so early is a mystery :? lol:

Re: RAT Conference Nijmegen 2007 - Susanna - 08-23-2007

Very correct!?

Do we have to send an essay about the lecture to you before?

Re: RAT Conference Nijmegen 2007 - Praefectusclassis - 08-24-2007

Guys, we are going to try and block a load of rooms in the Apollo hotel (appropriate & well located) and get a discount. Of course, everyone is free to book their own, but let us know in that case.

I've asked for 7 single and 3 double rooms and the possibility of discounts. Awaiting their reply.

one more - pvblivs cordvs - 08-27-2007

Hi all,
Jasper, could you please add one more to your ever expanding list of attendants.
My wife, Hanneke van Broekhoven, would like to join us as well.
Allthough not a RAT member is the strictest sense, she is well aware of what goes on at the forum. Wonder why...
Does she need to sign up as a formal member to attend or is she welcome nonetheless ?
Cheers,
Wim/Cordvs

No, everyone is welcome to attend. No need for a room, right?

Looks like we're at the same hotel Jim! Dutch Courage all round!

Re: RAT Conference Nijmegen 2007 - Marcus Mummius - 08-28-2007

Okay, I hope you received my PM's Jasper. Smile

15 persons of Legio XI CPF are coming to attend the RAT congres (including me) on saturday and sunday. One extra person (number 16) will only attend on saturday.

We're looking forward to it!

Vale,
Jef

It's going to be a busy and full weekend with lots of new friends to make!

And lots of Dutch beer to drink with them as well of course!
It will make a change from this stuff

I think I remember a discussion here on RAT concerning Dutch and Belgian beer. But I'll not restart it

I still remember Jim's comment: "Belgian beer, no thanks, I value my liver". And he's probably right

Confession: after I had grown accustomed to drinking five to six Westmalle Triples every Sunday afternoon, I started to realize that one day, I would be an alcoholic. So I decided to stop drinking. Which is difficult, if one's usual pub ("stamcafé") happens to be specializing in Belgian food and drink...
