Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - Primvs Pavlvs - 11-28-2006 Thanks Martin I took your suggestion. If anyone requires a larger photo, or better resolution please let me know. I hope I covered everyones requests on objects to take photos of. I have a few more that I will add to this later. I suggest that anyone within a few hours of Vindonissa to please visit. The museum is very camera friendly, and the staff is very pleasant to deal with. http://www.flickr.com/photos/16263737@N00/ Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - Martin Moser - 11-28-2006 Hi Paul, how about creating an account on flickr.com or photobucket.com or some such and sharing them through there? Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - Gaius_Calvus - 11-28-2006 Paul, These are great pics -- laudes to you for taking the time to share them with us! Calvus Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - Primvs Pavlvs - 11-28-2006 Thanks Calvus! It was my pleasure! I love Vindonissa its a beautiful little town, and for those interested in Medieval history it provides several interesting spots to visit. Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - Gaius_Calvus - 11-28-2006 You deserve it, frater! I hope to visit there myself in the near future -- I have a friend stationed in Stuttgart and I hope to visit him soon and drag him to Roman battlefields and museums. Vindonissa is at the top of my list. Cheers! Calvus Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - Martin Moser - 11-28-2006 Very interesting Paul, thanks for sharing those! Laus for you! Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - Praefectusclassis - 11-28-2006 Good job Paul! And Calvus, if you do go to Stuttgart, don't forget the museum in that city itself. Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - Gaius_Calvus - 11-28-2006 Don't worry, Jasper -- before I go to Europe I will canvas the great members of RAT to plan my entire itinerary. Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - Praefectusclassis - 11-28-2006 Excellent! Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - Cornelius Quintus - 11-28-2006 Ave Paul, thanks and laudes from the flat German coast (where Roman remains are as rare as mountains  ) Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - aitor iriarte - 11-28-2006 Many thanks, Paul! Aitor Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - TITVS SABATINVS AQVILIVS - 11-28-2006 Salue Paule! Very good, thaks and laudes. Those 4 mm gilded mail-rings are shocking... hock: Vale, Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - Robert Vermaat - 11-29-2006 And he saves the plumbata until the last page!! Thanks Paul - insignificant little thing, isn't it? Btw, next to the balista points on the second picture are spear shoes I think. And those two brown items on the untitles picture belong to a spatha. Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - Emeraldweapon7d - 11-29-2006 that was a great pic of the leather backed squamata. First tine i've seen that done. cool stuff. Re: Vindonissa Pics:Now with More Links - marsvigilia - 11-29-2006 I did not think plumbata were used this early. Hmmm. A new toy I need? |
