Vikingr Metal/Folk Metal - Arthes - 01-29-2007

Some bands I have come across today....
Heulend Horn has a rather different sound which is a mix of black, epic and folk metal and a touch of 'doom'...I also like the spoken voice parts..

Dutch band Heidevolk...whose music ranges from a rousing style similar to 'Tyr's (makes you feel like beating your drinking horn on the table at times) some very nice traditional woodwind and guitarwork on Het Gelders Volkslied (which I love) through to heavy metal, that is a little too heavy for me, but some of you will like it.....!

Trying to download the mp3s at the moment...same label as Graveland I notice(I love the Lord Wind incarnation)....and more photos of what looks like the same Slavic warband, they have some nice kit..!

Well, they sure as hell ain't metal, but for medievalish modern music you just can't go past the aptly named MEDIAEVAL BAEBES.
