Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - Joze Noriker - 05-31-2011 Thank you!! ) If i can speak very open, it is for me very expencive hobby My wishees are much much bigger and higer but all the trips to Austria&Germany, the clothes, the waeppon etc ...is very expencive. I don't wear the replicas of the web-shops, I wrote in the thread "round table" what i am donig - our "Slovenian's" Celtic warrior of the beginning of the 1 St. BC and the second one at the beginning of the Augustus's time, ab. y. 20 BC. Bye from Slovenia! Joze Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - Joze Noriker - 05-31-2011 Here is Lisi's HP - she is "cheeftain" of our group Boii Pannonia: http://www.glasperlen-repliken.at/ and the new one - the replicas from Slovenian's old iron age settelment Sticna: The photo is from our private event "Childreens's birthday" in celtic village Schwarzenbach, Austria: http://s1084.photobucket.com/albums/j409/Joze_Noriker/KINDERGEBURTSTAG2011/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ20 Joze Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - MPoole - 06-01-2011 I wish there were more of these types of beads from the UK, we don't get many with pendant shapes, which are a lot of fun. Excellent to see more of her work. Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - Joze Noriker - 06-23-2011 We have here in Slovenia much evidence of that UK glass-beads. I have here some fotos of our last event Celtoi - in Otzenhausen, Germany (i was there alone of my group but i have good friends there): http://s1084.photobucket.com/albums/j409/Joze_Noriker/CELTOI-OTZENHAUSEN2011/ Joze Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - MPoole - 06-24-2011 In the UK, there aren't the sort of pendant beads that there are on the Continent, which is a shame. Thank you for the link to the photos, I see that she does her demonstrations using a modern torch. Is that acceptable as an alternative to using a small furnace? We'd like to do more demonstrations of bead making too but the problem of how to melt the glass is the biggest sticking point for us. Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - Joze Noriker - 06-24-2011 Hi, if you mean the woman on the link of the Celtoi - on the foto is woman of German's group Taranis. We are Boii Pannonia from Austria - but the Lisi is doing her glass beads by modern way, indeed. Last year in September we were in Bavaria on event - the Tina from Germany/Manching was doing the glass beads on trad. way: http://picasaweb.google.com/Ludmilla.boiipannonia/LAGERLOH2010#5523180904062256818 all fotos: http://picasaweb.google.com/Ludmilla.boiipannonia/LAGERLOH2010# (there are mostly fotos of mine) Joze Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - nw_upstart - 07-13-2011 Here's a pic of me at this year's Lafe event. Let me know what you think. Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - Joze Noriker - 08-16-2011 Hi! Well i would ask you - where you get your "celtic" items, if you got them by individuall way by the historical replicants (handworkers) than is ok. But i see many items, wich have no relation to the historical Celts (continental Iron age time). I am sorry, it is to much larpic, but you can still change your items. Joze Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - Joze Noriker - 08-16-2011 Hi, would like to show you some fotos of the Celtic event in Celtic village Frög/ Breg slovenian/ in Austria, 8. - 10. July: http://s1084.photobucket.com/albums/j409/Joze_Noriker/FROEG2011/ It was great event with some friends. The main reenacting group were the Alauni/Austria but there were many celtic gruop from Italy, too (and me from Slovenia, i am the only one from Slovenia who is visiting the celtic festivals outside from Slovenia). Joze Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - nw_upstart - 08-17-2011 Joze, I appreciate your criticism. I'm always looking for ways to expand/improve my kit. Starting from the ground up: Shoes are based of some swiss finds that I have pictures of from several museums. I will agree the pattern of the pants is a bit small. I'm in the process of making a pair out of a proper herringbone pattern wool. The sword scabbard is from the Depeeka La Tene sword. Antrhopomorphic hilt is based of some french finds. Outer tunic is a light wool, under tunic is a linen. I will concede that the neckline on the outer tunic may be wrong. Helmet is Depeeka Caltic montefortino with a horse tail plume. Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - Joze Noriker - 08-17-2011 Hi, no problem. But if i can say you, how i make my living history: only (causal) by individual way, no depeeka, no online shops. I order my accesories only by individual way by the metal-handworkers and i am doing grawe presentation. But it takes much more money - of course and that is the only reason why my outfit is still in progress. I make my second presentation because my smith here in Slovenia made to many misstakes on my sword wich should be replica od the orig. (i pay for the sword 1500 e) but it has still some uncorrect details. That is reason why i don't work on my first presentation and i started with my second - new one. I will newer have Depeeka items; i had some items wich i ordered by the web shop, but i sell them all. You can see some links of our events /Celtoi, Frög/ here, too. Joze Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - Patrick M - 09-02-2011 Hello, an impression of our latène a kit. The photo was made by a member of the gentes danubii (thanks a lot!) at the hallstatt fortification at the heuneburg in southern germay: Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 09-03-2011 Nice kit! The bakers went to war too? Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - Joze Noriker - 09-03-2011 Oh yes - Patrick and Cristoph /group Taranis you are very good reenactors: that's the level i like it because it is correct!! Complimente! Joze Re: Show here your Celtic warrior impression - btswanfury - 09-05-2011 |
