Literature - Titus Flaminius - 06-21-2007 Salvete milites After joining this awesome platform I now want to read some basic literature to come into the whole thing. Do you have any Must-Read-Titles? Marcus Junkelmann's "Legions of Augustus" is my first choice, but I think there are even more basic books that show an entry into the things we do here. Thank you, Titus Re: Literature - Et tu brute - 06-21-2007 Connolly's "Greece and Rome at war" is great, as apparently (haven't read it myself) is Adrian Goldsworthy's "The Complete Roman Army". They are both pretty extensive in infomation, and Greece and Rome at war has truely brilliant illustrations. Re: Literature - Titus Flaminius - 06-21-2007 Okay, thanks... Re: Literature - Et tu brute - 06-21-2007 There is also the "Indespensible book list" which you can find here: http://www.romanarmy.com/rat/viewtopic.php?t=7008 |
