Kalkriese prayer - need a bit of help - Nerva - 07-03-2007
I'm going to Kalkriese tomorrow. I know it might sound a little tackie but I'd like to offer a prayer to the men, women and children who died there over the course of that terrible battle.
Would anybody know a simple prayer in Latin (to the Roman gods) that I could offer up when I'm there?

Well, if you are going that whole drive, make sure you swing by Haltern on the way in or out and check out the museum with a sniffly ghost of Marcus Caelius.

How about a simple "Dis Manibus" for the milites et cives Romanorum in bellum Germania?
