Cavalry helmet
#1
Does anyone have any photos of the helmet found in a tomb on Madytou street in Athens? it seems to be a bronze version of the Petasos. Side and top views would be particularly helpful. I only have line drawings, but it is difficult to render it in 3d from these.

The only one circulating is from Osprey's "Ancient Greeks" and again the source is "Archeologike Ephimeris 1973".
Sadly it belongs to the "non exibited" artifacts so I guess yo umast have strong academic credentials (and friends) to let you see it.

Kind regards

Thanks for the information. I did see a photo in a magazine article about the ancient Greek diet of all things, written by Sekunda.
I may have to make do with the line drawing if I cannot get a photo through my contacts.
