I had the doubt where must go this, in "ancient civ" or here...but the hunt scenes are quite interesting...so I post here. Big Grin

This luxurious late roman villa (Two storeyed, but, unfortunately, just preserved at floor level Sad ) is placed at Pedrosa de la Vega near Saldaña, Palencia, Spain. There is a small monographical museum at Saldaña.

These put the Piazza Armerina to shame. And the fish-eye technology is phenomenal. I have an acquaintance who does these kind of photos for a living. Very effective for real estate websites, etc.

To give you a rough idea of how imposing the building could have been. I enclose a pair of volume reconstructions I designed (The 3D work isn't mine and I must say that I was not very happy with it :evil: ) a lot of years ago and that have remained unpublished. The recosntructions are lacking the big volume of the baths to the left, which was yet unexcavated by that date. Teh other big volume to the right is the oecus, the big reception hall with the beautiful mosaic.
