Notitia Dignatum Picture?
#1
I was flipping through The Complete Roman Army when I came across that picture in the Dignatum of all the sheilds, insignia, spears, and whatnot, when I saw two Cuirasses that looked a lot like a Lorica Laminata :? . Can anyone tell me anything about that? And about those weird triangle and nail clipping things in the picture
Ben.

One, it’s called the Notitia Dignitatum for short (the official name is, after the first line, “notitia dignitatum omnium tam civilium quam militarium in partibus orientis”).

Two, I think I know the image but can you tell me more about it? There are at least two of such images in the MS.

Three, what on earth is a ‘lorica laminata’?
