A different thread recently linked to this web page, which refers to a Romanian publication of a catapult modiolus from Costesti (Dacia).

Gabriela Gheorghiu, "O piesã de la o ma?inã de rãzboi descoperitã în cetatea dacicã de la Coste?ti - Cetãtuie", in Dacoromania, 22, 2005 (page numbers not stated).

I am unfamiliar with this find. Does anyone have a copy of this publication? (Perhaps some kind soul with access to a scanner?! :wink: )
