Ancient women had not cellulite,
Gian Lorenzo Bernini's Pluto and Proserpina
maybe because they were often spanked. That could explain why modern women have cellulite: they are not spanked anymore... 8)

Ok, two things...
Italian women are gorgeous but last time in Thessaloniki I was just in shock!! per capita I had never seen so many attractive women. No wonder Mt Athos is off limits to women, the temptations are stronger.
Also, as long as we are entering the realm of art history with Bernini I will offer my list of the most beautiful women in art history.

Oh thanks! When I had just almost decided to spend next semester in Rome over Athens and Thessaloniki, you go and make it harder to choose!

The great thing about Canada is you can see a woman of pretty much every ancestory, including mixes that produce some really gorgeous ladies!

All this drooling and testosterone is normal for this time of year. We are passing through February- the month of cupid...
David Attenborough (TV naturalist and presenter) had this to say about all the leering:
" We see this anthropological phenomena all around us at the moment, the male birds are in the trees ruffling up their feathers, cats and dogs are preening themselves in anticipation of the Spring, and in the habitat of RAT we have Roman soldiers drooling and getting ready to polish their armour in order to attract a prize female of the Mediterranean species..."
I am witnessing testosterone overload every day as my son has just become a teenager hock:
P.S. Athena- I found that pic at random on the net when I did a search on spanking, believe me it was one of the more 'tamer' pics I found. Some pics I wish I hadn't seen *ouch* hock:
