Hi, All...................SOS. URGENT URGENT
I have dismantled my pompeii scabbard (Armamentaria) to have the brass furniture tinned. It has now come back nicely tinned and ready for reassembly. Unfortunately I have mislaid the tiny brass pins that held it all together. Can anyone tell me where to get them or send me some (Ill pay of course) They are very fine and I cant locate them at any hardware shops.
Mike Carroll.

I have no source for those, but if you find them, please let us know. There are other people who would be able to put tiny brads to use. Good hunting.

In the USA, try Woodworker.com. Various lengths and gauges. E-b** sometimes has them, too.
I cut down 1" pins to make little rivets.

I had the same problem some time back.
Thanks for the link to the brass pins Peronis.

If you can't find brass, plain steel should be fine. Though I'd at least file or sand the heads to remove any modernish tooling marks, maybe even torch them and give a few hammer taps to make them look forged.
