an other reconstruction of roman pugio.the blade and the handle are in steel c70 tempered (60 hrc) there are inserts in bone and silver.

Nicely done. Is it a copy of a particular pugio or an interpretation of a period group of pugios?

this pugio is not the replica ofone specific repert.But one mix of what i like in one pugio.This kind of blade is in my opinion the most elegant(from dutch repert),anf the handle the most elegant too.

for respond to Doc: the pugio is all made by hand,the balde and the handle I made by reduction metod.I use steel c 70 and after when the blade is finish i do the temper of the steel (controlled temper).I give for the blade of the pugiones and the knife 6o HRC of hardness.
