Sure, let's see it...some of us do theatre, and we're always interested in that sort of thing.

Heh. The actors are interested in not wearing 20+ pounds of steel during shows and rehearsals, too.

Hey, that's COOL for a theatrical costume kind of piece! Not the same old knitted sweater painted silver that you see so often in movies- yours actually has the semi-transparent nature of real mail. Very nice Merlin!

thanks guys... I am also working on a Lorica Segmentata. Right now just getting it planned etc. I've got to finish my Imperial Gallic Helm first.

Oh, and the fabric Hamata's "hooks" are made out of two buttons, and a braid. you can see it if you click on the picture I think.

I've made a segmentata out of ABS plastic rivetted to cloth, instead of leather straps inside. Did it as a halloween costume a while back.

Just an idea, I know plastic is used a lot for medieval stuff.

yea. I use craft foam. Adds some more flexablity. I could try the plastic. What kind is it?

the First Segmentata I made was made from foam, and was missing the sides. It is attached by two strips of foam. It is modelled after the ones used by the stunt men in "Gladiator". Want me to post pics?
