Its Off Topic but while I am here, it is the way the baldric crosses the chest. In theory the sword on the right=Legionary, (like you, nice belt by the way) sword on the left=Centurion.

Ah. I read in B Borg´s book that these burials were very, very expensive, the mummification, the portrait, the wrappings etc. pp, and hence it seems is more than unlikely that a regular soldier would have been able to pay for such a thing. Goes very well together with the other porttraits, that theory, since all people depicted are clearly upper class.

there is one in the Egyptian section of the Scottish Nat Mus, and in very good condition, I almost thought it was the one you guys are talking about.
