Ah. I read in B Borg´s book that these burials were very, very expensive, the mummification, the portrait, the wrappings etc. pp, and hence it seems is more than unlikely that a regular soldier would have been able to pay for such a thing. Goes very well together with the other porttraits, that theory, since all people depicted are clearly upper class.

there is one in the Egyptian section of the Scottish Nat Mus, and in very good condition, I almost thought it was the one you guys are talking about.
