Does anyone know if a guide exists for making an early Roman pectoral breastplate? If not, if anyone has made one, please let me know.
Thanks,
Matt

The triple-disc armor seems to have been distinctly Sabellian, that is, belonging to the Samnites and related tribes. I'm not sure it's appropriate for a Roman impression, but never say never when it comes to antiquity...
There's also the simple square pectoral, which is relatively simple to make. Matt Amt has made one, which I've worn in the past. I'm not at home currently, but when I am I'll post pictures.
I don't know of any guides, per se. You basically need a square of brass or bronze for front and back, plus about four smaller pieces to make the shoulders and two for the sides.
