i have a small question.if an armed unit is raised in one town/city,does its upkeep come from the place it was raised?Even if it has transferred to a different city/town?If so,then if they are from an ailing settlement (financially)by getting them killed or reduced in battle, will this reduce the burden on the raising city/town?Also how is the assasin best utilised?

As far as I know funding comes from a 'central' bank that each town contributes to (or takes from if it's losing money).
So unit creation and upkeep don't directly effect the town concerned.

Cheers for that,i have come to the conclusion that sacrificing units raised in a now ailing town/city to lessen the finacial burden is a non starter.there is a hell of a lot more to this game than firsts meets the eye.
