Quote:Thanks much! I'l love to be in an event with some Persians like you!
I wonder, shouldn't the chiton be a tad longer so it can be double belted in this fashion
Is the tiara leather? I propose it is made with some softer matterial, much looser. In the Alexander mosaic they seem so loose similar to arabian mantles that just protect your face from the sun and the dust. In the Alex sarcophagus they seem a bit smaller, maybe, but still loose.

Giannis,
What is the hat called that you are wearing and did you make it also?
Thanks

This would be a boeotian hat made of thick felt. Most of them had a bit smaller brims but bigger ones did exist. I made it out of a female hat that was made of surprisingly good quality felt!

Stefanos,
I like the 600 BC impression. Do you have more pictures of this kit? Is the right arm harness entirely of bronze, and what is the evidence for the extension over the hand? Looks good to me. Cheers!

Hello Andy. I know what it is like to be recieving your M.I. helmet after a long wait! I should say that the chlamis must be longer. There should be more matterial hanging from your ight shoulder. Also, add a waight of 20-30 gr in each one of the corners. Few re-enactors cae to add this detail but all chlmides and some times even the himatia had them. I don't have a good view of the chiton. It seems fine, but i can't see the design of the "seeves". In the time of the corinthian helmet chitons used o be literally sleeveless.
