It is a great Start Eirik. May you find many friends to help build your phalanx.

Been a while, but we just had the Dallas Greek Food Festival last weekend. We have a new member in our trio: Gamal Castile (Vodi) from Columbia, MO. He, Messalides and I were the contingent in attendance this year. I will post a few pictures - - -

A step closer on my Hoplite impression.
Still a very long way to go, due to setbacks that have stolen my budget.
And not sure why they are all sideways, as they are correctly orientated in my album.

HA! I have no idea - she was just one of thousands that wanted to get a picture with me that weekend!

Here's a couple with me and the Vodi ("Ox" in Greek).

Oh, and BTW: My crest has been on my helmet all year (since last festival - last September). No sag - no drag!

Awesome. Where'd you get the helm and greaves, and about how much did they run you?

Thanks. The helmet is from Craig Sitch at Manning Imperial and his missus who made the crest, the greaves a re from Bulgaria.
