legionary breeches

ave my rat brethern,

making a pair of these breeches.
what appears to be the correct length is just below the knee.
yet if i set down they pull up pass my knee and i have to push them down.
if i make them long enough to prevent the rise when setting then the length is mid calf clownish looking :oops:
is there a tie at the knee to adjust for fit?
any help would be appreciated!
