Stop the Dolphin Massacre
#32
Signed.

Quote:The video is narrated by Joaquin Pheonix - Commodus 'Gladiator' who is a strict vegetarian/vegan.
Are we entertained? Cry Not merciful, that. Cry
I'm not a vegetarian. But a slaughterhouse is a lot, LOT more humane to animals that thát butchery! Confusedhock:

Quote:Oooooh!...wait a minute!....they offer Dolfins meet labeled as Wales?
Not Wales, Gioi, Whales. Wales is where King Arthur is from.

Quote:Do the japanese children, whose care too is supported by UNICEF linked by the Lucky Pierrot hamburger house, know that maybe the whalemeat hamburghers that their mothers buy for them could be easily made by (their beloved) dolphin meat too?
Probably, yes. Culture about killing dolphins is different in Japan, where they are seen as a main competitor for fish, Japan's main source of food.

In Norway, they talk a bit similar about killing whales.. Cry

It's a bit similar to Canadians killing seals - I can't show that to may children either, even though the killing is less inhumane. But the fact is that Canada IS commercially hunting seals. Yes, I'm afraid so.. more graphic images of bloodied animals.
Sorry Matt... but THIS is how I see the solution to baby seal killing!

Those dolhins are gutted alive! They writhe in stress and agony, whilst bleeding out and suffocating, LONG after being ripped from the water. Why not kill them with a good blow to the head when they're caught? Confusedhock:

In Norway and some islands in the North Atlantic, seals are killed for the same reason - competition for the fishermen.

Quote:The petition says it will be delivered in 2001, is this actually a current initiative or an internet-leftover?
I've seen these massacres earlier, almost a decade ago. Filming these massacres in Japan has become very hard to do, due to the extreme antagonism of the fishermen towards cameras. Violence has been used a few years ago.

Another spin to this story is the trade in dolphins, not for meat but for Leisure parks. The West, alas, is also guilty (or has been) of buying such dolphins from Japan, because these creatures are very hard to breeed in captivity, and every local Sea World needs their pack of doplhins...
