right, but such a straight and complete kind of buying habit is not needed. It’s already sufficient to show ‘evidence’ of your intention to a special government or company by a special action.
In 1995, the Shell Oil company wanted to dump their old platform ‘Brent Spar’ into the North Sea, a possible danger for Germany, The Netherlands and Denmark. Greenpeace, press and many organizations demonstrated against that plan. Car owners avoided Shell, and I remember any Shell filling station in our area being a dead place for a week. The company lost about 50% turnover and turned very quickly to a far better solution concerning the ‘Brent Spar’.
I agree with Jim. The market will solve such problems, when consumers are acting clearly.
