thanks for your answer.
I'm not sure about the database thing since the concept up to now seems to be to handle artifacts of which there is a decent number, rather than reproductions, reproductive techniques and general/basic knowledge on the theme as such. But that would not be for me to decide.
Aside from that the idea is certainly tempting, although I must admit that at the moment I cannot really see where I should take the time for doing something like that (remember the pugio-database lurking in the background :-) ) ). If done it should be more than just packing all the things about shoes, bags, etc. I and others wrote about in one place, it would have to be edited, eventually be updated and brought in to a stringent form. Quite a bit of work I fear.
