lol I can safely say the same... I find it ironic we condemn the romans as barbaric for their spectacles of blood and gore when today's people rejoice in viewing our much more sophisticated and humane reality shows....
You're spot on. I'm not saying I'd feel overly comfortable watching people batter and kill each other but the public likes to see people scared on "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Outta Here"... they often watch motor racing/boxing etc for when things go wrong.. violent computer games and films sell well.
In my humble opinion that's only a few rungs down the ladder.
Hmmn, the romans were pretty honest, they liked the primevil instinct of conflict and violence and boasted about it! Today we hide our liking of such things under the guise of arguments, fights and so on as seen in Smackdown, BB, and other things...
