That was a wonderful post Arik. Thank you very much for putting out into the light what has actually transpired with this event. I would not want the US Contingent to be thought ill of because we did not attend. To say the least we are very disappointed that we cannot go as we were very much looking forward to it. Mu has also invested time and money into going to this event with expediting passports, printing extra business cards, catalogs, etc. Most of all, Wren and I will miss it because this was going to be a lovely vacation for us and a chance to meet our European compatriots.
I was up until 4 am Sunday morning with e-mails to Mr. Prodanov to try and resolve this matter and was still trying most of the day yesterday as well in the last ditch hope that things might happen. At this point, I would just really like an explanation and for the organizers to take respsonbility for this fiasco.
I hope all you folks that actually do get to the festival have a wonderful trip, that you and all your equipment arrive safely and that you get treated well while you are there. For those of you that got the bad end of the deal, I definitely feel for you. Maybe some other event will come up in the future where we all can meet.
