Greaves and Vambraces in the rank and file
#73
So everyone how about find evidence for greeves?

I suspect rather less common than other "armor":

1. Helmets (due to water depositions as sacrifices?)
2. Lorica Segmentatia (because pieces of Segs found but greeves are one
piece?)
3. Shield parts (again lots of pieces)

But if greeves were common should there be two per helmet/shield boss etc found?
Or are there other practical reasons greeves wouldn't be deposited and later found as often as other armor items?
Or perhaps due to how they were made maybe they didn't survive after deposition as well as other items?

So jump in everyone anything known to support/refute any on the above?
