Books about the ancient warfare
#3
Warfare in the Ancient World edited by General John Hackett (1990). I own and highly recommend it. It covers your time period but starts much earlier with the ancient Near Eastern civilizations and ends with 4th century A.D. Rome. Also included are many color plates by Peter Connolly.

Happy reading.
