My main issues with this are that there were multiple strands involved in the decline of the Roman Empire, of which everyone reading this is probably aware. Also, the Eastern Roman Empire was actually on the up in the 5th century, as testified by an increase in trade, refurbishment of many cities and the building of new ports.
R. Cornelius hadrianus, Guvnor of Homunculum, the 15mm scale Colonia. Proof that size does not matter.
