Sardinian "Pellitic" Warriors and Amphsicora\'s rebellion

Nuragic bronzes and Monti Prama statues are surely older, about VIII century. I dont' think that still in roman times the costume and arma (after 500 years!) where the same.... Smile
I haven't found any C3-2 BC representations, either. However, Strabo has a brief reference to Sardinian warriors:

"Again, Sardinia produces the rams that grow goat-hair instead of wool; they are called, however, "musmones", and it is with the hides of these that the people there make their cuirasses. They also use a small leather shield and a small dagger."

Small leather shield, leather armour, and short sword or dagger - that much corresponds to some of the nuraghic figures, and suggests at least a small degree of continuity.
cheers,
Duncan
