I like the warm welcome here. Thanks a lot. I am a member of the 501st, a "Preferred" Star Wars Legion (and it has a Forum) as well as being the Founder of an Un-Official Star Wars Clone Trooper and Storm Trooper/Sand Trooper Forum.

So, I respect what it takes to run a clean forum AND we have recently been fighting spammers, and more importantly, to keep people focused on goals, while taking into consideration an individual's natural aptitude, ability to learn new skills, motivation, ability to plan, and maintaining a relatively normal life-Faith-family-work-hobby balance... and not become obsessed.
But there is a fine line between committed and obsessed.
I have caught myself doing that - hence, founding of a 800+ Forum of my own - but I am trying to diversify.
Ironically, the first "Ancient" prop I acquired was a 1st unit, 1st generation casting of a screen-seen Spartan helmet from the film 300.
Then I got a rubber dory spear tip and end.
As for my Roman, it is probably fit for a Passion Play, but I would like to explore going to the next level.
I wish I could post pics. I use the image tags, but they do not show my images. So, please bear with me.
I have some pics I want to share of my scratch-made sheath for my wooden Gladius. I metalized the blade and stained the hilt knobs and I painted the hilt a semi-gloss white for an ivory/bone appearance. It came out pretty cool. I will post them up very soon.
Thanks guys!!!
John
