I am researching that very same piece at present. The nailheads are very small, no riveting evident on the original (Oh yes there was :oops: ), the whole set seems to have been soldered together and the nails used for fixture of the different parts to the scabbard (oh no they weren't! :oops: ). This also ties in very well with the construction of a gladius from Mainz and another river find in Holland were the two suspention bands are still in place.
I realy love the detail of your work on that locket!! Amazing workmanship and detail. Great work!!
