Badbury Rings is not a hillfort (if you can call it a hill at all), it's call to fame only because of the name (and we could discuss Bad- names until we see blue in the face and still not come to any conclusion). It's a nice spot, granted.

Ummm...Badbury's at the top of a hill that rises between the Stour and the Allen. It's got a fort on it. Good enough for me.

I take it that if there were to be a 'Mons Badonicus' at Badbury at some point in the future, you wouldn't want to come then? :wink:

There's a buried Roman road that passes and can be seen from Badbury rings appreanetly, a wide one at that!!!
