As a fellow artisan (blacksmith) I have decided not to agree to lesser quality then I find acceptable for sake of price. Now I know, I am a hobby smith with a well paid dayjob, but still, I would advise you to set your standards to achieve an "as close to the original as you can get" product. It makes you feel more proud having achieved an excellent piece of work. If price is the issue, make them one less article in trade for a much better quality of the others. Just my view ....
