The BBC article says its published in Antiquity. I'll check it out as soon as the library opens.
I think its a positive sign that Bronze Age European archaeologists are willing to call a spade a spade. Through the 1990s there was a popular ideology that real warfare in Europe only started in the Iron Age (and all those enclosures, breastplates, and swords were ceremonial or ineffective).
