It would appear that the off topic began when Mithras/Paul Elliott wanted to mention the price of helmets why I do not know.
Then this was then taken up by Decimus Mercatius Varianus/Marsh Wise who wanted to begin another subject of authenticity of Roman equipment.
I would suggest that if a Topic about authenticity is desired then maybe one or the other might like to begin such a thread.
I don't know how you are going to take out that subject other than deleat what is off topic and let them start a new topic on what is authentic, if it means taking out my request about photographs of beltplates then that is no problem for me.
