The most appropriate style is dubbed the fell/allendale boot, in evidence in Northern briatain in the late 1st to 2nd centuries AD, I'll send you patterns etc along with your crest feathers whenever I get round to it!!!<br>
You might also want to try asking Vardulli, he has an excellent pair he made himself last year.<br>
