Roman is essentially the first military "reenacting" I've ever done, and I never thought I would have gotten into it! I pretty much...Fell..into it.
Currently it's Mid 1st Cen. Imperial legionary. Eventually I'd like to have an Augustian or Marian era for variety.
Outside of that, I'm building a 1460-70 "German" kit for use with Higgins Armory/Sword Guild demonstrations and Company of Wolfe Argent, although I'm not sure if I have "time" to be a reenactor of that time period as I do with Roman.
Eventually I'd "like" to have a 1570's German costume as well for HASG.
A few of the guys in HASG also do ACW Bayonet drill and are also working on 1600's-era Pike drill, using De Gheyn's manual of arms; and I'm learning some of both more out of curiosity and a break from [Roman].
If I ever could afford it, I had an idea to do a 1600's Cuirassier or an ECW Ironsides/Colonial Troop of Horse (well, without the horse, cheaper that way), cause I think Wheelocke firearms are wicked-spiffy-cool; but for now I'm just going to focus on Roman and Late Medieval
