This reminds me of that game we used to play at parties as kids where we'd sit in a circle and the first person would whisper a sentence to the next person and the next person would repeat it to the next person and so on around the circle, and when it got to the beginning again the sentence was completely different from the way it started. 
 
And yet I can almost see a connection between exclamation points and f*rts.
