Roman archers wearing lorica segmentata

Vegetius tells us that some of the archers did wear armour (swapped shield and spears for bows and arrows but were otherwise equipped as the other heavy infantry) in his antiqua legio whilst, IIRC, others were amongst the leves armaturae.
