I had resisted buying Medieval TW but having done so this past weekend, I found myself thoroughly impressed with the much greater diversity of units and factions to play.

I can forgive units of gladiators, I suppose, as long as the gameplay is as good as (or better than!) that in M:TW.

A long time ago I offered our collective help to the Creative Assembly team, because I was quite certain that eventually they would make a Rome:TW, but never heard back. And lo, here comes R:TW. Well, maybe in some oblique way I helped, who knows?

RAT members did provide some input to Slitherine Software (who did LEGION), albeit in a limited way, for they had already pretty much put their ideas into code by that point.

I would love, love, love to be in on a Rome-themed game design team. Hear that, all you software developers? Just get me in on the ground floor, not after the fact.

Cheers
