Sorry for the delay, but these are some pictures of a chiton I had made for one of our Agora... It is a very fine wool fabric in plainweave, hand stitched with a roll hem and double backed blanket stitch. A set of construction sewing stitches which are at least as old as the Hallstatt culture.
I tried to drape this fabric to show the pleating and folding that can be achieved with a fabric as fine as this.
