That is very good. I've always been fascinated by Rome's water system. (One of my "to-do someday" projects is building a miniature two-tier bridge acqueduct and fountain in my garden.)

In fact, fire probably served an important public sanitation function.

I never thought of that before. This is an interesting concept.
