Chronicle of Cassiodorus

1106. post quem VALENTINIANVS tribunus scutariorum apud Nicaeam Augustus appellatus fratrem VALENTEM Constantinopoli in communionem adsumit imperii

After him Valentinian, tribune of the scutarii, is hailed as Augustus at Nicaea, and takes his brother
Valens as co-ruler at Constantinople.
