She has legs? I must've been actually looking at something else... Big Grin

Actually I'm the artist and looking at it, I think your wife is right.

This was somethign I did on Photoshop 5 some 11 years ago, back when I designed casino signs for a living ( and not yet married!)

The coversation turned to PC greetings so I rummaged around in my files and dug this up.

Take care and Merry Christmas!!

I am a Christian and I have to say that I, and my co-religionists, have not felt in the least restricted by the antics of the PC bureaucrats. I'll be out at our Carol Service tonight and next Sunday, a group of us will lay on Christmas dinner for people who are alone over the holiday - it's not all about pie-in-the-sky-when-you-die!

Dear Paul I feel that it is because the noblity of your heart and that of your friends is something strange to PC people, thats they perform their antics.
Religion has nothing to do with it.
I liked the remark "pie-in the sky"!

To all...

Regardless of the the present divergence in the correct, this season still has a universal meaning that cannot be taken from it. This meaning, despite disagreements on the exact origin, is our inheritance from the same people who this forum is about. Deliberate or not, we are the accumulation of all their admirable efforts. Despite all adversity, humanity has shown an unconquerable capacity for renewal and the untiring desire to find justice and truth in its infinite manifestations.

The best to you all ...

Gaius: A universal meaning? Do you mean that the Sun and fertility shall once again arise and conquer the forces of death and decay? Or the joyous celebration of madness as a ventilation shaft for winter-weary slaves and serfs everywhere (as in the Roman Saturnalia, or the much later Gothic "Fool's Mass" between Christmas night and the 13th day, or the much later modern secular celebration with too much alcohol and secretaries telling their bosses off at Christmas lunches)? Or something else?

Surely you're not thinking of... no, that can't be it. Perish miserably the thought of disregarding the cultural diversity involved.

One particular Christmas a long time ago, Santa was getting ready for his annual trip... but there were problems everywhere.

Four of his elves got sick, and the trainee elves did not produce the toys as fast as the regular ones, so Santa was beginning to feel the pressure of being behind schedule. Then, Mrs. Claus told him that her Mum was coming to visit.

This stressed Santa even more. Then when he went to harness the Reindeer, he found three of them were about to give birth and two had jumped the fence and were out, heaven knows where. More Stress.

Then when he began to load the sleigh one of the boards cracked and the toy bag fell to the ground, and scattered the toys.

So, frustrated, Santa went back into the house for a cup of coffee and a shot of whiskey. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered that the elves had hidden the liquor and there was nothing to drink.

In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the coffee pot and it broke into hundreds of little pieces all over the kitchen floor.

He went to get the broom and found that mice had eaten the straw it was made from. Just then, the doorbell rang and Santa cussed his way to the door. He opened the door and there was a little angel with a great big Christmas Tree.

The angel said, very cheerfully, "Merry Christmas Santa. Isn't it just a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Isn't it just a lovely tree? Where would you like me to stick it?"

Thus began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree.

Sanque,

I was thoughtless and unthinking when I wrote what I did... I was thinking of a universal good in humanity. But then I remembered there are those in every culture who knowingly and willfully became car salesmen...

My apologies...
